Today was about history which London is full of. Our first stop was Her Majesty’s Royal Palace and Fortress of the Tower of London (or the Tower of London) home of the Crown Jewels (no pics allowed, sorry) and an early post of power in the Kingdom. Dominated the area it helped control traffic on the River Thames. After the Tower we toured the London Transport Museum which showed how transportation in London grew to accommodate its ever growing population. A fascinating show of accommodation which was met by competition then the cycle started over again.
Finally we ended at Buckingham Palace, the London residence of the Monarch of the U.K. The location has been occupied since the 14th century and only became a royal residence in the 19th century, fairly recently for these parts.
